My best shot “Killarney Lakeside” has been chosen among 60 artworks of other artists for the “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” Photography exhibition at 1650 Gallery in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.

One more exciting letter this time from the TAG Gallery: “We are pleased to inform you that your piece – Grasses and Snow – have been selected for the 2017 California Open Exhibition. Our juror, Scott Canty chose 75 artworks for this year’s exhibition from more than 1,400 submissions received nationwide.”  The show will be on display – August 9 – August 26. Hope you can make it to the reception.

Along with nearly 50 other artists from the Topanga Canyon Gallery, exhibiting at 18 locations in Topanga Canyon, Felice Willat’s work will be on view as part of the gallery’s 11th annual studio tour. Felice will be showing photographs in a variety of print mediums.

One more good news. Felice will participate in Photo Independent 2017, an international art fair bringing together those who love and collect photography and the artists who make it. She will be in the Los Angeles Center for Photography Booth with three photos that haven’t been exhibited before. So put on your calendar dates, April 21 -23, when the 4th Annual Photo Independent Art Fair will take place. This event will be part of Spring Art Week LA, which includes the Los Angeles Festival of Photography, Photobook Independent, Objects of Art Show LA and EXPO Contemporary, all taking place at The Reef, 1933 S Broadway in downtown Los Angeles. Paul Martineau, Associate Curator at the J. Paul Getty Museum will be reviewing all photographers and their booths at the fair and honoring one artist as Best of Show 2017. The winner will be awarded a solo exhibition in the 2018 fair.
